Vintage Restoration and Restyling

One of the aspects I love about working with wedding gowns is restoring a cherished heirloom.  I have worked with gowns as old as the late 1880's, reworking hand stitched gathers, repairing lace and beadwork.

They often need alteration to fit the new wearer and sometimes the style doesn't suit the bride but they want to use dress because of the sentimental value.  It can be total restyling to modernizing the cut of the sleeves and neckline.  Headpeices can be reworked or recreated, veiling replaced or repaired.

I love it when a bride brings in the original wedding picture.  A nice thing to do is put it in a tabletop frame and use it as a centerpiece with the guest book.  That way your guests get a sense of history when seeing you in your vintage wedding gown.

Prom Dresses

Prom's just right around the corner and now's the time to plan for that special dress. Give yourself two months from start to finish. To begin, I'll sit down with you while you share your design ideas and show you color swatches of fabrics. Plan on 2-3 fittings plus delivery.

You won't have to worry about showing up in the same dress as someone else when you have a custom dress in the style and color of your choosing!
